It is like the sun rising and shining upon the world, reaching even the deepest hells, valleys, and the darkest, most obscure places, all of which are opened up and bathed in the same brilliant light. Just as the flood at the end of an eon fills the world, submerging all things and leaving only a vast expanse of water, so too is the light of Amitabha Buddha. The radiance of all śrāvakas and bodhisattvas is completely overshadowed, with only the Buddha's light shining brilliantly and magnificently. The fourfold assembly present, along with the eight classes of dragons and spirits, humans and non-humans, all witness the various splendors of the Land of Ultimate Bliss.
